Give without a get. Overdressing (joyfully) for the Revolution.

One Piece Wonders

Some congestion and a bad night’s sleep have me working from home today, which is a privilege I am grateful for.

In any case, I thought I’d capture today’s outfit, even if no one else will see it. Despite the shrinking bladder that comes with my second half-century, I’m actually a big fan of jumpsuits. I find the undefined waist as more freeing. Also, once you have a jumpsuit on, you know where everything is. How many times have I forgotten to tuck a shirt back in, or not realized that a skirt or dress was tucked up in my waistband leaving the bathroom (it doesn’t just happen in the movies!). Once you’ve got your jumpsuit on, you’re pretty much ready to go. But yes, I do have to time my bathroom trips to give myself a little bit of extra wiggle time.

So, here’s me in a secondhand Lucy & Yak jumpsuit. It’s very lightweight, making it comfortable to work from home and lounge around in, or run around doing errands. Only some of which I’ll be doing while I work from home. Plus, the fun colors!

Last month, I saw a lot in various Instagram threads about this brand reducing its size inclusive offerings. For anyone interested alternatives plus more ethical consumption (I’m not ready to say all consumption should end), a place to start is the website Good On You, which does the research so you don’t have to. Here’s a link to their article on Size Inclusive and Affordable More Sustainable Brands

P.S. any brands or sites mentioned are ones I actually use, not paid ads or partnerships.

Me not really knowing good angles and lights. Also, I clean my treads so I can wear shoes inside. I have terrible bunions, so my feet feel most comfortable hugged by shoes.
