Give without a get. Overdressing (joyfully) for the Revolution.

Unbanned and unashamed

Well, I’m down for the count today…literally. I’ve twisted my back, now I’ll be working from home so I’ll never be too far from my stovetop kettle and hot water bottle. And a bed for periodic horizontal rest.

So, it’s time for an OOTD from the archives: exactly 6 months ago today: 8/10/2025. It’s not much of an outfit, mostly because I was at the beach 🙂 In reflection, all I can say is the ‘fit is giving bumblebee and we wear bathing suits in public because we ❤️ our bodies.

Speaking of things that we actually should be ashamed of, if you live in an area where book banning is less ‘once upon a time’ and more ‘it is the worst of times’ then help make sure your young people get access to books, knowledge, and power.

From the Brooklyn Public Library:

Books Unbanned was founded on the principle of giving teens and young adults access to the materials they want to read.

We invite individuals ages 13–21 from anywhere in the United States to apply for a free BPL eCard, providing access to our full eBook/audiobook collection as well as our learning databases. To apply, send an email to booksunbanned@bklynlibrary.org stating your age and your interest in applying for the card.

Be reading, beloveds!
