Still a bit uncomfortable after twisting my back the other day, so am working from home again today. I usually get fully dressed to work from home because it just makes me feel more productive. Today is a mix: business up top and coziness on the bottom, though it’s comfortable overall.
Over my secondhand (but NWT) sweatpants is a custom oversized s’cool shirt from Gul Sohrab (on insta as @gulsohrab.studio). They make striking structural pieces that are so well-tailored, yet so effortless to wear, perfect for a workday filled with movement, sitting, and stretching…

As I work from home, I can’t help but look around and just see things. So many things. We are pretty lucky to have full time jobs, renting an apartment that we really like, that we can actually fill with the things we enjoy. But as I take this February Freeze of trying to reduce my reliance on Big Commerce, I’ve been wondering about all the ways we could do without.
I was thinking back during the pandemic when mutual aid groups started popping up everywhere. Out of necessity, yet out of a true spirit of community, folks figured out how to help each other. But even before then, collective-minded people have always found ways to help each other, to share, to be more mindful of waste.
One way this has beautifully manifested is in Libraries of Things. Like public libraries, but instead of books, you borrow stuff that you need for a little while – blenders, circular, saws, playpens, almost anything you can imagine – that might already be available in your community. To learn more about how Libraries of Things work, or even to start one, Shareable has a great place to start.
